How to Choose the Best Decorating Style For Your Home

One of the hardest things about decorating a home is finding the style that you will like and will fit your home. Often people spend more time trying to come up with a theme or style for a room than actually buying the items and decorating the room. If you are having trouble coming up with a great style for you and your home, here are some helpful ideas to get you started.

Consider the Natural Style of Your Home
Some homes will reflect a particular feel and that can be the easiest way to pick a style for the whole home. For example, if your home is an old country home, then a natural style would have a country feel or traditional style. Another example would be a home with Spanish architecture which would naturally suggest a Spanish influenced theme, such as Southwestern decor. You don't necessarily have to follow this suggestion, but it is a great way to go if you are unsure about a decorating style.

Look Through Home Decorating Magazines and Books
Head to your local library and leaf through home decorating magazines and books and you will find plenty of ideas for your home. Choose a style that you fall in love with and that fits the architecture of your home. You don't have to have one theme for your home; rather, you can have a different style in each room of home if you really want to. Jot down some notes on the styles you find and make photocopies for future reference.

Do Research on the Internet on Different Decorating Styles
If you have a few different decorating styles that you may be contemplating use the Internet to research your interests. Check the different pictures that you can find on different styles as well as articles and tips on decorating. You may find that you fall in love with one or two of the styles and drop the rest of them.

Determine the Function of a Room before Choosing a Decorating Style
Not every decorating style is going to fit with the purpose of a room. For example, if you want a comfortable family room where you can relax, watch television and play games, modern decor may not be appropriate. You need to really think about what you want from each room in the house before you start spending. You don't want to decorate and then realize a few months down the road that your decorating style doesn't fit the function of the room and have to redecorate.

Consider Who Is Living in the House
If you have small children or pets in your home you may find your options limited for a while. You need to consider who will be living in the home and using the room before decorating. If the only people you have to please are you and your spouse, the sky can be the limit. Choosing a decorating style that fits your home and something that you will love day after day may take some time and planning but it shouldn't create stress. Use these guidelines for determining the best style and you will enjoy your home day after day.

Hair Styles For a Beautiful Wedding

When you plan your wedding day, you will no doubt be anxiously considering which could be the best hair style for your big day. The way you style your hair can dramatically change your appearance so explore all of the options that best suit you, after all this is one of the most important days of your life. The right hair style for your wedding should make you feel confident and beautiful. With so many styles to choose from, let's review the different styles in fashion today.

Curls have dominated many types of hair styles and an experienced hairdresser can create stunning looks with these styles. Depending on the length of your hair various curly styles can be done at your local hairdressing salon. If your hair is quite long; a good number of large curls will look elegant. Hair hanging half way down the back or shorter will require smaller curls that are appropriate to the length of the hair. If your hair is naturally curly, this style will be easy to maintain but if you are getting it done on normally very straight hair then it might be difficult to maintain over the course of the day.

Bouffant style hair seems to be back in fashion and many brides prefer this look. This style will work very well if your hair is somewhat sparse and you need to create a look that is voluminous. Hair styles dressed upwards also go well with bangs. This combination will suit only people with certain types of facial features so consult with a good hairdresser who can make suggestions.

Many brides now like to have the look of partly bouffant coupled with hair which flows freely down the back of the neck. This has become quite a popular trend in many hairdressing salons with many  brides choosing it as a wedding hair style. The hair which flows down is either left totally straight or given slight curls.

You'll be surprised to find that the most common casual hair style, the ponytail, has also recently become quite a popular wedding hair style. Many hairdressers cleverly accentuate this style by decorating it with elegant clips or gorgeous flowers. Depending on the compatibility with the facial features, the hair which is loose is either curled or just left straight. Some brides also prefer to add a bouffant and bangs to give the appearance of more volume to the hair.

Many women now leave their hair short for their wedding day as hairdressers are now able to style it quite elegantly for the big day. Some hairdressers add curls while some style it straight with clips and other accessories.

Some modern wedding hair styles have also become quite daring and look uniquely different. These are totally non-traditional and hairdressers use various hair colors as well as the addition of headpieces to complete the look.

We see there are many types of wedding hair styles prevalent today from the most simple to the most daring and complex.  A professionally trained hairdresser can help you decide on the most flattering style for your wedding day.

Perfect Styles for Wedding Invitations

Wedding days are special occasions that will forever be etched in the minds and hearts of married couples. The invitation is one of the things that are first made and prepared because this is the one that tells all the friends and relatives about the good news. Furthermore, wedding invites are considered as the guests' mementos of this wonderful occasion.

There are many styles of invitations available in many stores online and in the local shops. But before the couple decides what style is the best, there are a few reminders to consider. First, think about the wedding theme and motif. The wedding theme, if it's a semi-formal or formal wedding, should be reflected on the wedding invitation aside from being indicated in words. Next is to take in consideration the wording and the amount of space of paper needed so the invitation wouldn't appear crowded with words and letters.

The following styles of wedding invitations are the most commonly used by many planners and engaged couples: Engraved invitation style, calligraphed style, thermographed style, printed style, and hand colored invitation style. In engraved invites, the paper will be stamped leaving an imprint on the invitation paper. Ink will be applied to the indentation and then dried. Engraving is a difficult and expensive process but this style is the most common invitation style of formal weddings.

Calligraphy brings out a sophisticated and elegant wedding invite style but this style is a little inconvenient because calligraphies easily smudge since they aren't waterproof. Thermographed invites are good alternative to engraved invites since they are cheaper but give out the same effects with the engraved style. Printed invitation style is the most common of all styles of wedding invitations. They are cheap and they can come in many different print designs that can be formal or personal also. Hand colored style allows the engaged couple to add a personal and creative touch to their invitations.

A perfect wedding starts with a perfect invite. Choosing the best style will surely help the wedding be a lot more memorable not only to the married couple but to their wedding guests as well.
No matter the style of invite cards you select, the most important thing is to think of the vibe you are going for in your wedding, and select all your wedding purchases based on that. Go with your gut and you won't go wrong when making your purchases!

Wedding Dresses: The 5 Gorgeous Styles You Should Consider For Your Wedding Dress

If you're shopping for wedding dresses you could probably be forgiven for feeling confused, stressed out or both! After all, the perfect wedding dress isn't going to be the only thing on your mind, as you'll also no doubt be occupied with planning the big day and your normal everyday life as well.
So before you hit the stores it's good to maximize your chances of finding the dress that's right for you by researching the kinds of styles that you're likely to find once you're in the boutiques. There are generally 5 styles of wedding dresses that are commonly found, the ball gown, the A-line gown, the empire style, the sheath and the slip dress.

If you know your body shape and which styles are likely to suit you then it should be easier to find a great dress!
Each of these styles can be in either a more formal style of floor-length gown and train or a newer-style knee-length suit or skirt, so there is definitely something to suit every taste, but the final piece of the puzzle is to make sure that you choose the style which best compliments your shape.

Ball Gown Wedding Dress
If you're going all out for that fairytale Cinderella style wedding then you'll be wanting a ball gown style wedding dress. Typically they have a bodice and full, long skirt. Women through the ages have loved this style as it is suitable for almost any shape, and will hide any lumps and bumps.
It really is the all-time classic, but if you're going for a more understated wedding then you should probably consider an A-line, as the huge skirt on these gowns is spectacular to say the least!

A-line Wedding Dress
This type of dress is similar to the ball gown style, but differs only in the skirt which is long but not as full. As a result this is also a common and popular choice as it has the same figure-flattering attributes.
A-line is recommended for more petite ladies as it will accentuate their height (which a ball gown style will not as it is so wide and actually makes one appear shorter). On the subject of petite ladies, horizontal details, pleating and designs are a bad idea as this will also make you appear shorter. Instead go for vertical pleats etc to walk tall on your big day.
Trying to visualize an A-line dress? Think 50s, think clean lines, think Dior, think classy!

Empire Wedding Dress
The Empire dress is great for bigger, curvier ladies. The waist is high and begins just below your chest, flowing down into a long skirt which avoids accentuating your hip and tummy area. It is a very timeless, graceful style which became very popular in 18th Century times French empire times and will really add a touch of class to your wedding.
If you are curvier try to avoid any detail around your waistline. Say no to ruffles, details and bows there, instead opting for longer sleeves and a V-neck to accentuate your bust.
How do they look? High waist below the bust, long flowing skirt and big in the 60s. Wear flowers in your hair for that real child experience!

Sheath Wedding Dress
If you have a slimmer figure and are in good shape then a sheath style dress could be for you. These dresses are very slinky and will flow along your own curves which is why they're sometimes called a mermaid dress. Green color and scales are optional though! These are usually tapered and narrow, flowing down to the floor and with a train and made of silk, imitation silk or similar material.
These are super hot, often with plunging neckline and very defined waist. Not for the faint-hearted, but if you can pull it off then this figure-hugging style will have jaws dropping everywhere.

Slip Wedding Dress
If you've got a model figure then you can consider a slip dress. They are very figure-hugging as they are made of silk or similar material once again so you need to have a thin and toned shape, otherwise they may not be the most flattering dress option.
To know what they look like just think very classic looking long, slinky dress with little detail. The kind of thing that Cleopatra would wear!
Again this is a less traditional option and you need to be confident about your figure to go for a slip or sheath style dress, but both of these styles are great if you want to project a more modern and sexy style in your wedding.

Fashionable Curtain Styles

Curtains have the ability to make a room appear nice and airy or gloomy. The curtains hung in your home can speak about people who are living in it. This is the reason why women spend time choosing the right curtain styles.

Hanging a curtain from pelmets is not in style anymore. These days, different headers and styles for curtains are out in the market. Some people have a curtain set for the winter and another set for the summer.

You will be able to find different fashions of headers and curtains. The most familiar is the typical one. There is an inch-wide tape used and is assembled into a thin even header. This type is typically used on cottage and dormer windows. It can be used for curtains without the need for a curtain rod.
Another heading style is the pencil fold or pleat. It is used when there's no valance or pelmet. This style offers a good look for curtain headers. It is also used in contemporary styles. You just need to keep in mind that when purchasing a curtain fabric, you will require 2 1/2 times more cloth than the window's width.

You can also use a French pleat style. It is used on window curtains that are heavy such as velvets. Additional stiffeners are used as well. The pleats fan on the window from corner to corner. Just like the French pleat, this style also requires 2 1/2 times more cloth than the size of the window.
The slot pleat can be made easily. The slots are slashed in the header where the pole is inserted. This appearance can be enhanced by letting a quality curtain stand over the pole. The size of the cloth should be 2 1/2 times wider than that of the window. You also have to determine the slot spacing that you want.

Another style is the puffball design. With this style, you can make your curtain look like a slot pleat curtain. The only difference is that you have to keep 12 inches over the slots. After hanging the curtain into the pole, puff up the upper portion.

These are the typical styles for curtains. There are also other new styles that you can find. The designs depend on the type of window as well as pelmets. The style should blend with the decorations present in the room. The material used for the curtain should also have a good fall.
Before purchasing a material, you have to determine the style that you want. The amount of cloth that you require depends on the style of curtain. You would not like running out of fabric or finding out that the fabric you bought is in excess.

Curtain styles [http://ourcheapblinds.com/curtain-styles] are available in different types. You just have to choose what you really want. Decide on what you want now and experience how it can make a difference for your home.

Hair Styles for Mid Length Hair

The mid length hair style offers many options for styling that include totally different looks. Adding all over curls, or flat ironing the hair super straight can completely change the look of the same exact hair style. Consider the following styles, partial up do, ponytail up do,all over wavy and all over straight hair styles as options for your next look.

Partial Up Do - This style features a portion of the hair in the crown area pulled back into a ponytail. Height can be added to hair in the crown area by gently back-combing small sections of hair before smoothing over the top with your fingers. A higher crown area creates a more formal look for the style. Add decorative hair pins to hair on the sides to keep hair in place and also add some color to your look.

For a variation of the partial up do, leave out some wispy long strands of hair around the face and pin curl them. The waves and looseness of the style will create a more romantic, formal look suitable for occasions such as weddings, proms or graduation ceremonies.

Ponytail Up Do - This up do features all of the hair pulled back into a ponytail for a formal look. It used to be that ponytails were only meant for the gym and lazy weekends. Now women are wearing these super-easy styles to red carpet events. To create an extra straight and smooth up do, flat iron the hair from roots to the ends before pulling it back into a ponytail. Spray on some shine serum after styling to create a super shiny finish. The ponytail can be worn anywhere- formal or informal occasions-and it is a style that you can easily learn to create on your own.

All Over Waves - The mid length hair style can look super cute styled all over wavy. A haircut with lots of long layers is very suited for the wavy look. Apply a curl-enhancing cream or gel to damp hair and blow dry using a diffuser attachment. Add soft waves throughout with a medium barrel curling iron.

All Over Straight - A popular style for any length of hair, the all over straight look is very eye-catching for mid-length hair as it really pulls out any highlights mixed in throughout the hair. Highlights added around the face help to brighten your look. Add soft sideswept bangs for an even more alluring look. Long sideswept bangs cut around the face help to soften a hairstyle and add a certain dimension to the overall look.

In short, these 4 different types of styles for the mid length hair style are great options for 2011 and beyond hairstyles. The mid length cut will allow for more style options than shorter versions and also the mid length haircut will be much easier to take care of and style than longer hair. Wedding hair styles and bridal makeup plans should be formulated at least 3-4 months before the event. Have your hair stylist show you some pictures of their work on brides or of special event hair styles. Bring the wedding hair pictures displaying the styles you like the best.
Pictures of wedding hair styles are one of the best ways to avoid bridal hair disasters. Pictures will help eliminate misunderstandings between you and your hair stylist.
Be practical. Try a style that is comfortable for dancing and moving around. Consider the wedding location's climate (humid, dry, wet, cold, too hot). Make a selection from wedding hair styles that will match with the style of your dress. Keep your desired bridal hair styles in mind when picking out accessories.

ACCESSORIES AND BRIDAL MAKE UP

Wedding Hair Accessories like hair ornaments and headpieces should not overpower your wedding hair. If you plan to wear a more elaborate headpiece, your wedding hair style should be simple. Bridal Tiaras can be very flattering.

Very simple jewelry will do for the bridesmaids. Stick with earrings, bracelets, or rings, but avoid
necklaces. The entire bridal party should have one theme for the wedding hair styles and bridal make-up. However the bridal party could all have different hair lengths, color and texture of hair.
Your bridal make-up should emphasize the eyes, lips, and skin-tone as these parts should be camera friendly at all times. Remember that bridesmaids are to compliment the bride and are not there to overshadow her.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES TYPE

It is not a bad idea to have an up-do, if your dress covers all the way to the neck. Don't be afraid of a short hair style especially if you are petite. Short hair can be one of the more sexy wedding hair styles.

It is usually better to not to request a classic hair do with a contemporary wedding dress. If you have your heart set on one of the classic wedding hair styles, then it should be a casual one.

For a modern or classic Victorian style, one of the beach wedding hair styles is better when it is a basic chignon or down hair style with simple, loose curls. Soft curls give you a very romantic look.

This goes for the bridesmaids as well. It is better that they all follow the same pattern.

The bridal party should wear the same color and style of dress as well as a similar hairstyle. For example, either all the bridesmaids should wear flowers in their hair or no one should at all.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES TRYOUT SERVICE

What's the best way to check the look of all the wedding hair styles in your bridal party? Easy, it is to have your entire bridal party make a visit to a salon for a wedding hair style tryout.

Salons usually give a tremendous discount for wedding hair style tryout service since they know you will like their work and that subsequently you will book your wedding party with them. It is common for salons to present a contract to brides.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES CONTRACTS

Make sure to read your contract carefully before signing. Read every word and make sure to ask questions if you don't understand something. If you are uncomfortable with the wording, it is fair to ask that the contract be changed.

Don't just gloss over the details of the contract. It should include important information such as the date of your wedding, the types of wedding hair styles and bridal make up services to be rendered.
Many salons will ask for a deposit to hold the appointment in advance. Some contracts will state that deposits are nonrefundable.

If your wedding hair styles contract has such a clause determine if there is a grace period. Pay a percentage of the service and not the whole price. Also make payment with a credit card. Should there be a problem or dispute, you will have a better chance of getting your money back.

The Top 6 Men's Haircut Styles

The most popular haircuts for men include some well-known styles from last year, as well as some newcomers. The classic pompadour leads the list in most effective and popular haircuts for men this year. Coming in closely behind are slicked back hair, side parting, the undercut, and the taper fade. Let's also not forget the importance of the beard in adding to a signature men's hair style this year.

Pompadour

Though the pompadour originated as the dominant hair style in 18th century Europe, Elvis and James Dean gave it the pop over the top for men's hair when they made the classic pompadour their signature style in the 1950's. Today, male celebrities are rocking the pompadour hair style again, and they include Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, Bruno Mars, Adam Lambert, David Beckham, and Robin Thicke. The pompadour influence is also an important ingredient in other men's hair styles such as side parting and the undercut.

The modern pompadour haircut on top should be accompanied by short back and side lengths, clipped short but not so short that the scalp is too exposed. Some tapering around the edges will reveal a stronger shape for the pompadour, as well as emphasizing the facial hair. For men with a short or long beard, this is a way to capture a rugged and masculine style. For those with longer faces, a bit more length can be kept through the sides to accentuate the shape of the face and give balance between the sides and the top. This haircut is not for the lazy. The styling time and upkeep for the pompadour hair style is significant because this style is high maintenance. Be ready to use some effort to get your daily styling just right, and you may want to go back to the stylist every few weeks to have the style cleaned up.

Side Parting

The retro styling of a traditional side parted haircut can be seen most prominently in the AMC TV series Mad Men. Don Draper demonstrates this classic and masculine style so effectively, as do the rest of the crew of the TV series. The side parted variation is easy to achieve for those with a slick hair cut style by adding a deep side part. This hair style is good for any setting, and it is formal enough even for a wedding. Celebrities other than Don Draper who style their hair with a side part include Zac Efron, Leonardo DiCaprio, and George Clooney.

The Undercut

The first few months of the year gave rise to a new haircut for men: the undercut. And undercut hair cut feels as cool as it looks which is perfect for the heat of summer. All you need to do to achieve this look is ask your barber to trim the side more than the length on top, avoiding cutting the hair too short in areas where you have a cowlick. To style the look for those with thin hair, simply brush it back with a blow dryer and a small-tooth comb. For those with thicker hair, you can ask the stylist to use a flat iron and pomade to smooth it down. This cut will keep you cool all summer because it eliminates all the length except on top, leaving you the option of giving the top a messy, spiky, or slick style. Celebrities showing off this new hair style include Brad Pitt, Bruno Mars, David Beckham, Johnny Depp, and Adam Levine.

Taper Fade

The taper fade style has been popularized by celebrities like rappers Drake, Ludacris, and P. Diddy, as well as Shemar Moore. This haircut has been popular for a while now because it is one of the haircuts that can be created at home, but that is not recommended. It is true that all you need is an electric hair clipper and attachment guides that give you control over the length of the cut to achieve something like a taper fade. But if you are looking for a clean, professional cut with sharp lines, we recommend you let the barber or hair stylist give you the cut. Celebrities like Drake, Ludacris, P. Diddy, and Shemar Moore let the hair style experts do their magic, and you can see the high quality results in their cuts.

Slicked Back Hair

The slicked back hair style has been extremely popular since last year, and it appears to be continuing to go strong for men with thick, wavy, and curly hair. Men with plentiful hair benefit from the high degree of clipping, and this style is guaranteed to continue through this year as a popular hair style for men. This style is similar to the undercut style in that it features a shaved back and sides, giving it the clean modern look men want this season. Celebrities who embrace the slicked back hair style include Alec Baldwin, Adam Lambert, Daniel Radcliffe, Brad Pitt, Ewan McGreggor, David Beckham, Ben Affleck, Tom Cruise, Elijah Wood, Jachary Quinto, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The Beard

It must be mentioned that men's hair trends this year definitely include facial hair. If your face is able to grow a thick, full beard, then we recommend you grow it. If your beard is thinner, the hair is finer, or the color is lighter, then a beard will also work for you, but in these cases you should keep your beard groomed to 1/8" or shorter. You may also want to invest in a product that softens the beard and prevents itching. Celebrities keeping the bearded style include Ryan Gosling, Seth Rogen, Jeff Bridges, Keanu Reeves, Justin Timberlake, Drake, Chris Pine, Jason Sudeikis, Matthew McConaughey, Russell Brand, Ryan Reynolds, Rob Pattinson, Lenny Kravitz, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Paul Rudd.
